Maraming salamat po. Maupo ho tayong lahat. Secretary Greg Domingo; Senator TG Guingona; Mr. Noel Cabangon; Mr. Herminio Alcasid; Mr. Ryan Cayabyab; Atty. Marivic Benedicto; Chairman Ronnie Ricketts; Ms. Gilda Pico; friends with the music industry; fellow workers in government; honored guests; mga minamahal ko pong kababayan: Magandang umaga po sa inyong lahat. They are ready. Masaya man tayo o malungkot, ganado man o naiinip, gusto man nating mag-relax o umindak—ano man po ang ating emosyon o disposisyon, nariyan at handa tayong sabayan ng musika. Bakit mo iniwan?” Ang sagot po niya, sabi po ni Mr. Fernandes, and I quote, went something like this: “When they failed to embrace the new digital technology. I felt the company was going to a dead end.” ‘Pag may Soundhound ka na, more or less, makukuha mo ‘yong titulo. So order-in mo ngayon ‘yon. So, ‘yong pagka-remix ho niya, ‘yong disco parang naging ballad. Sabi ko, “Okay ‘to. Medyo…” [Laughter] Bakit ko kinukwento ‘to? Ano po ibig sabihin n’on? Tulad kanina ng sinabi ni Tony Fernandes, “They failed to embrace digital media.” Imagine, especially the young nowadays can purchase single tracks and enjoy the music that they want. Some kids will say, “Why do I have to buy the entire album when there is only one song that I want to listen to?” So nandiyan po.

SEC. SEC. |
