1.  Tagalog news: 200 pananim na rambutan at kalamansi, ipinamahagi sa mga katutubo ng Gen. Nakar

GEN. NAKAR, Quezon, Agosto 5 (PIA) -- Namahagi ng 200 pananim na rambutan at kalamansi ang provincial government-environment and natural resources office (PG-ENRO) sa mga katutubo ng bayang ito noong Hulyo 31.

Sinabi ni Manny Calayag, environment and natural resources officer (ENRO) na grafted ang mga nasabing pananim kung kaya't sa loob lamang ng tatlo hanggang apat na taon maaari na itong mamunga.

Noong nakaraang taon ay nagkaloob ang pamahalaang panlalawigan ng mga forest trees upang itanim sa kabundukan ng Real, Infanta at General Nakar, Quezon (REINA) area makaraang mawasak ito ng landslide.

Personal na nagharap sina Tribal Governor Ramay Astoveza at PG-ENRO acting head, Manny Calayag para sa pagkakaloob ng mga halaman sa mga katutubo.

Sinabi ni Calayag, na nais ni Quezon Governor David Suarez na maipaabot sa lahat ng mamamayan ng Quezon ang serbisyo ng lokal na pamahalaan at wala itong pinipili, mungkahi din niya na hindi dapat baguhin ang uri ng pamumuhay ng mga katutubo, bagkus ay pagyamanin pa ang kultura ng mga ito.

Ayon kay Tribal Governor Astoveza, mapapakinabangan ng mahigit sa 20 pamilya sa 27 kumunidad ang mga fruit-bearing trees na ipinagkaloob sa kanila. Nangako rin ito na aalagaang mabuti ang mga puno upang magbunga ng marami at magsilbing dagdag kabuhayan sa buong tribo. (CPG/RMO- PIA-Quezon at may ulat mula sa Quezon PIO)

2.   NGCP, QUZELCO II donate computer units to Real central elementary school

REAL, Quezon, August 2 (PIA) --The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) and the Quezon Electric Coop (Quezelco) II donated four units of desktop computers with printers to Real Central Elementary School (RCES) last July 31.

Nelson S. Bautista, officer-in-charge, NGCP regional communications division said NGCP and Quezelco II have pooled in a certain amount for the purchase of said desktop computers.

Bautista said the computers will be valuable for the students specially in their research works.

Aside from Bautista, the turn-over ceremony was witnessed by Marissa G. Frago, corporate affairs division officer of NGCP South Luzon, Quezelco II general manager Victor Cada, Quezelco II board of directors’ president Pobleo Moises.

The Department of Education (DepEd) was represented by Quezon district supervisor Dr. Gloria R. Atendido and Real Central elementary school principal Luzviminda Buerano.

Real Central Elementary School is home to more than 1,000 students and 45 faculty members.

The town of Real is a host to NGCP facility, thus, as part of NGCP’s social responsibility, the town was chosen as beneficiary. (CPG, PIA4A)
